About the Berkshire Chapter AGO

The Berkshire Chapter AGO, founded in 1947, is now in our 75th chapter year.  Our members serve as organists, choir directors, singers, conductors, pianists, accompanists, builders and maintainers, and organ enthusiasts.  Our members serve churches throughout Berkshire County, Southern Vermont, and Northern Connecticut.  We work to enrich the professional lives of our members by providing workshops, concerts, educational events, and by promoting organ music in the region.  We offer professional certification to all members seeking to improve their skills.  We have a scholarship program for organ students seeking to learn how to play the organ.  We provide job listings for organists seeking new positions and we provide a platform for churches to search for qualified candidates.

The chapter hosts social events throughout the year and we encourage newcomers to attend a meeting or a chapter event.  If you have a love of the organ, if you love choral music, if you enjoy the mechanics of what makes the "king of instruments" work, then you have a place in the Berkshire Chapter AGO.

Dr. Tim Pyper works with participants at the Alexander Technique Workshop on March 3rd, 2018.
