How to “rig” CareerBuilder and other job boards
Is it helpful to your job search to rank highly in a resume search? It should be, since only about 2-3% of resumes sent through job boards are actually read by humans.
It's frustrating, isn't it? Many take it personally, getting angry or depressed.

What is your opinion on the NBA.com's article on how fans think the NBA is rigged?
The NBA has been really angered about fans, for example on facebook, saying that the NBA is rigged because it pre determines the teams that goes to the finals. these teams must be big market teams so the NBA can maintain high ratings that it received back in the 1990s during the Jordan era
The NBA wrote an entire article on how Lebron isn't in the finals now and that the spurs have been to the championship 4 times since 99.
Do you agree with the NBA in its plea that the NBA is not rigged, the fans are just ignorant? Or do you still firmly believe that the NBA might be fixed to some extent?

I'll agree with the NBA that having a small-market ratings stinker like the Spurs in the finals for four years this decade seems to indicate that if there is any game fixing, it's not pervasive. They're not sitting down in some back room at the start of the playoffs every year and deciding who will win each series and who will get the trophy.
Which still leaves the possibility that the occasional game is fixed, when a series is close and a popular team needs a boost. There's no real way to know that unless we get some physical evidence, or someone comes forward with believable testimony. And no, I don't consider what Donaghy said believeable.
There's a third possibility, though, and that's NBA refs simply fixing things on their own, without any explicit instructions from the league office. The referees are NBA employees. They know that the better the NBA does, the better they'll do. And they know that big-market teams and high profile stars lead to high ratings, which are good for the NBA. That could easily lead a ref to lean just a little towards a certain team or player on a close call.
It's funny... fans complain about the officiating in football and baseball all the time, but they rarely suggest that the game was fixed. Almost always, they just charge that the refs are incompetent and screwed up. The NBA has been fighting allegations that their games are rigged for a long time before the Donaghy thing.
